So was in Berlin last week partying as you do, at about 6am we decided we wanted to try a new place, the German friends we had met mentioned this place, 'you wont regret it' they said.
They were right, it was like an adult wonderland, very Berlin, covered in grafitti and bright colours, several rooms and secret spots to explore, raging dancefloor, we ended up staying there until 12pm, though easily couldve stayed all day tbh. Quite the adventure do go, do spend a while there, meet people and explore! Kater Holzig is a huge club type venue with the Katerschmaus restaurant on the top floor, up the graffitied stair case.
Apparently getting into the club can be a bit tricky due to selective bouncers, so we booked dinner at Katerschmaus which guarantees entry to the club afterwards. Think Alice in Wonderland for grown-ups. I absolutely loved it! The restaurant continues that theme including the waiters in bowler hats and waistcoats.
It has got a relatively small but interesting menu. It is rather on the pricey side but you do get what you pay for, especially when you're adventurous enough to go for some of the more unusual items on the menu, they are really worth a try!
The club is quite cool, there are 2 floors inside and a big outside space with a few quirky additions such as a photo booth, fire place, 'witch huts' and the like. The unisex bathrooms are a bit of an 'experience'. The unconventional design continues throughout, the bars in the club are quite reasonable, considering.
