Stayed for one night then ran away. Not a place for families at all. Lots of noise and partying. Drunk people and hookers everywhere. I stayed for a one day transit and will never do that again. However, front desk staff is friendly. Dear mermaid team, currently we are at room , I would like to thank all team members working at that fabulous hotel from receptionist guy and his Manger till housekeeping for their great service, actually if you order something from Hk, it takes in this hotel approximately mins,and this so fast comparing to other hotels, also Hk team are smiley and lovely, about the room actually that king size bed is so nice with the beautiful sea view, that's enough to wake up early and see sunset, but one thing if you please that shower needs to fix cos always fall down on my head but this not a big issue : , however I have spent alovely night on ur hotel and next time I would love to come back at the same room.
This hotel is not a bad choice to stay; specially if you are on budget. This hotel is surrounded by Fast Food chains and Super stores. Rooms with Sea view are awesome; neat and clean, beach is just cross the road. WiFi is ok. LCD was not working;I asked staff to come and check but no one came. Parking can be an issue. I'm on backpacking trip all over UAE so i book hotel in advance in each places i choose to stay overnight.
My first stop will be Ajman and i made my booking at Safari hotel apartment. According to the review and photos they showed in booking. But when i reached there, even the entrance look disappointing. Surrounded by garbage area, car workshop and the room is not worth with the amount i'm going to pay. So i decided to walk further up to the corniche area where we found perfect hotel - Mermaid hotel facing right in front of the sea with the same price of previous hotel.
We're so happy but some point makes me feel disappointed again. We try to switch on the tv but its not working so called up to the reception but we waited till we fall asleep nobody coming to help us. The view indeed great but to pay per night with super minimal basic amenities and broken tv its just not worth of money at all.
