Our group of 14 travellers stayed here for 1 night in September. A couple of us were in the annex across the gated courtyard. The rooms were small, and had a bamboo type of flooring. There was no water in the sink, and the toilet did not flush, but at least it was a western style one!.
The bathtub was full of water where did they get it , and there was a small basin to use for dipping into the bath for flushing the toilet. Never had any power cuts, but did in many other places, even in Pyongyang. The dinner was excellent, and served by very friendly staff, but the bottled beer was not cold. I did go over to the microbrewery and tied their beer. I didn't like it - have never said that about any beer before. We barely heard the propaganda truck in the morning as we were facing away from the courtyard, where it played for about 90 minutes 6 - AM.
The beds were hard and the rooms were small, but clean and tidy.. There were not a lot of western tourists around, as not many visit to this region of NK, but if you are willing to put up with these inconveniences, it's a good experience for a visit.
