I stayed here for one night. I was afraid to go outside after dark The rooms were disgustingly dirty. People using drugs and drinking while hanging out on the balconies. You would think the poolside rooms would be better, but NO. You get what you pay for!!! I recommend going elswhere. Staff unprofessional, location is shady and dark. Dirty hotel overall. Pool is decent but your better off staying somewhere else. Water went out while we were staying and they kept telling us it would be back on in a half hour.
Took 8 to come back on. Me and my best friend made a road trip out to Florida as he was going to see his son and I had family and friends I wanted to see. Since this motel had the lowest rate out of all of the others in the area so we decided to stay here.
The place is a bit run down to be honest. We tried calling front desk and no one answered, we went down to the front desk and no one was there, that is very poor customer service. My friend had to shower at his son's mothers house and I had to wash myself with a wet cloth and my hair in the sink. We ended up demanding a refund the next day because of this and stayed somewhere else.
You are better off skipping this motel and spending a little extra and staying somewhere of better quality. We stayed in room for 3 nights. It was spacious, the sheets, towels, microwave and fridge were clean but not the floor.
You don't want to stand in the room barefoot! But the worst thing was the smell. It was so strong we had to spray perfume on the pillow so we could go to sleep. We have no idea where the smell comes from but it cannot be healthy. We were out of the room during the day so we didn't care so much Anyway, don't go to the Royal Palm Inn unless you are broke and you don't have a choice!
